Berggasthof Haldenhof in Kleines Wiesental

Highly recommended. Be sure to stop by in spite of Corona, when we were there there was bratwurst and drinks at the window. Very friendly people. In 2019 we were there with a birthday party, well organized, very pleasant and excellent food!

Nice mountain inn with clean rooms and very nice staff. Good value for money because portions are for good eaters. The hostel is ideal for Westweg hikers .....

Had a very good dinner and the next morning a wonderful breakfast buffet with salmon, roast beef and much more. We were 6 and one other guest, but it would have been enough for twice as many. Rooms were good and clean and we got a great rate for the 6 rooms. Many thanks.

Nice inn on the top of the pass 👍😀 the food was very good and price performance was very good 👌 staff very courteous and attentive. My recommendation is that I had never eaten the Black Forest cherry steak, it was very tasty and the combination with the churches is very successful absolut absolutely recommended for a stopover on a tour

Very simple but good restaurant ... excellent food in a rustic atmosphere. Simple, affordable rooms for hikers to the Westweg

You have a great view with very tasty food, they have lots of meat dishes, but also serve for vegetarians. (I do not know about vegans) I can recommend to go there, if you are searching for a comfy place to spend some time with any kind of acquaintances. :)

The rooms are okay, the food is not what I call tasty but this depends on ones taste. I found it simply bad and pricey. Rude service and had the cheek to ask for a tip at the end. the cherry on the cake: I ordered a decaf coffee and of course the gave me a normal coffee and let me go all jumpy the entire afternoon :D

Good hotel for the Westweg hike. Breakfast was one of the best on our trip. The vegetarian meal with chanterelles was also very tasty. Rooms were spacious and South German furnished. Too bad that the hostess / gentleman laughs so little, because they can be proud of the place and the service.

The inn is located directly on the Westweg. The room was OK, but a bit old. Dinner was very good, breakfast fantastic with everything you can think of. The staff is very friendly.

The Food is really not hygienic .. Also the room is not the best ...

Great as it is here, service is flexible despite Corona, food and drinks fast and good civil. Prices are also OK

Today at 4 p.m., after a hike, we wanted to stop at Haldenhof again. As soon as we crossed the restaurant to go to the adjacent beer garden, an older waiter asked us to wait. He accompanied us to the beer garden with the question: "Would you like to eat or coffee and cake?" When we answered that we did not want to eat, he showed us a small table with a two-person beer bench, although a table with a beautiful view was free towards a dark, rather draughty corner of the beer garden. The table with a view is reserved for guests who want to “eat”. We left the Haldenhof immediately after this unfriendly encounter with the waiter. Whenever we have visited the Haldenhof several times in recent years and even last week in the afternoons, we have always been happy to come. Last week a young waitress met us there e.g. served very nicely. Today's visit there was a huge disappointment and so we will probably do without a visit there in the future.

Good plain food with extras for gourmets. Staff very friendly and courteous - prices absolutely reasonable ☺️
